it hadn't had that tough a life, plus knew from general reading that these were tough bikes and designed
to do lots of miles. Heaviest bike I've ever ridden, nevertheless it made mincemeat of motorways and
I used it to commute into London from Woking for quite a while. Had a prang on it when some tosser tried
doing a U-ey as I was filtering past, not bothering to indicate this intention until he had started the
maneouvre. Amusingly, as his car continued to turn whilst I was sliding along the metalwork, the CBR1000
seemed to want to continue in a straight line, as if to defy this external force! Still hit the deck
eventually of course. As I recall, lost 2 years' NCB as the claim was split 80/20 (him/me) cos apparently
I shouldn't have been overtaking at a junction (although the cars I was overtaking were stationary!)
